Like Spring, the deadline to mail the student projects regarding the Arts of Fashion International Competition to San Francisco is at the corner! April 1, 2014
Student projects have to be postmarked by April 1st and here is the address to mail it:THE ARTS OF FASHION FOUNDATION555 CALIFORNIA STREET – SUITE 4925SAN FRANCISCO CA 94104 – USAThe application materials should be completed as listed below:– 1 page for the 3 illustrations or plan of collection– 1 page for each illustration– 1 page for each flats/technical designs– 1 page for the fabric and material swatches– 1 page for the developed concept or atmosphere or mood board– 1 page for the written concept (maximum 100 words and a title)– 1 resume / CV of the applicant– 1 student ID (photocopy) 2013-14 of the applicantFormat of each page: 8.5″ x 11″ or A4 / Letter – and on separate pages (do not try to bind or mount it or else) – name and school and email address and cell phone number should be written on the back of each page with a light pencil.
Selected Jurors from Fashion institutions in the United States but also from Argentina, Canada, China, South Korea, Mexico, Phillipines, and Portugal will join the preliminary judging in New York at FIT on May 2. More than 100 Schools & Universities from 34 countries are represented by their student registration today and 50 candidates will be selected for the 13th Arts of Fashion International Competition, competing for apprenticeships at creative Fashion Houses including Manish Arora in New Delhi, Nice Collective in San Francisco, Anne Valerie Hash and Maison Lesage in Paris, and for 3 scholarships to attend the 4-week Paris Fashion MasterClass Program at Les Arts Decoratifs.
